Herculesnews, Singapore - The Israeli government apologized for the disgraceful behavior of a junior diplomat at the embassy in Singapore. Israeli diplomats are using the Singapore flag as a tablecloth when the party at his residence.
Local media, Singapore's Foreign Ministry has summoned the Ambassador (Ambassador) Israel after the police report filed regarding the incident that occurred on Sunday, December 27th last and the diplomat's identity has been revealed.
"Embassy of Israel in Singapore surprised to learn misconduct by one of its junior staff members and delivered a heartfelt apology," the Israeli Embassy said in a statement as reported by AFP on Thursday (12/31/2015).
Stated Embassy of Israel, the Director General of Israel's Foreign Ministry has ordered that strong disciplinary procedures applicable to diplomats who commit such errors.
Upon this, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore stated that "the misuse of the flag of Singapore is a serious offense". The Ministry also welcomed the apology and assurances that the Israeli Embassy diplomat in question will be punished.
"Everyone, including diplomats and foreign residents in Singapore, must respect and obey our laws and regulations," he affirmed Singapore's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Did not provide details on the incident. But local media proclaim, Singapore's national flag has been used as a tablecloth when the party held in the Israeli diplomat condominiums in Singapore.
